Halim Alamsyah

Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Corporate Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta (1980) and Bachelor of Law, majoring in Agrarian Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (1981). Then, he continued his education with a Master of Arts in Development Economics, Boston University, Massachusetts (1985) and a Doctor of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Indonesia (2008).

Serving as a committee member since 14 June 2022 based on the Deed of Minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders No. 56 dated 14 June 2022, with a term of office no longer than the tenure of the Board of Commissioners as stipulated in the Articles of Association.

He started his career in various positions at Bank Indonesia, including Credit Analyst Staff, Cooperative Credit Affairs (1982–1983), various roles in the Directorate of Economic and Monetary Research (1985–2000), Editorial Board of “Gema Korp” Magazine (1995–1998), Head of the Governor’s Bureau of Bank Indonesia (2000–2002), Editorial Board of Bulletin of Economics, Monetary, and Banking (2000–2015), Director of Economic and Banking Research (2002), Director of Economic and Monetary Research (2003–2005), Director of Strategic Planning and Public Relations (2005–2006), Director of Statistics and Information (2006–2007), Director of Banking Research and Regulation (2007–2010), and Deputy Governor for Bank Supervision (2010–2013).

He also served as Chairman of the Greater Jakarta Indonesian Economists Association (2010–2020) and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (2015–2020).
