Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial and Business Administration, Nanyang University, Singapore (1974).

Served as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee since 14 July 2020 based on the Letter of Appointment of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk No. 002/SK/SMM/VI/2020 with a term of office not to exceed the term of office of the Board of Commissioners as stipulated in the Articles of Association. Previously, he was appointed as Commissioner (1982–2001) and President Commissioner (2001–June 2023).

Started his professional career as Director of PT Bimoli and PT Witkito (1974–1982). He then joined PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk as Vice President Director (1982–1989) and President Director (1989–August 1999). In addition, also held key positions in several Subsidiaries, namely: Commissioner of PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG (formerly PT Asuransi Eka Life) (1984–2006), Vice President Commissioner of PT Asuransi Sinar Mas (1984–July 2003), President Commissioner of PT Asuransi (1997–September 2004), Vice President Commissioner of PT Sinartama Gunita (1999–2002), President Commissioner of PT Sinarmas Sekuritas (1999–2021), President Commissioner of PT Asuransi Sinar Mas (July 2003–2004), President Director of PT Asuransi Sinar Mas (2005–2013), and PT Asuransi Sinar Mas (July 2013–July 2024).
